1. Introduction
Stylisee ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the Stylisee platform — a business management suite for personal stylists, image consultants, and colour analysts.
By using Stylisee, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Account Information
When you sign in through our authentication provider, we receive your name, email address, and profile image. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled securely by our identity provider.
Business Information
This includes your business name, business type, contact email, phone number, business address, and ABN (Australian Business Number) that you provide in your settings.
Client Data
Information you enter about your clients, including names, contact details, style preferences, body shape, colour analysis data, booking history, and notes. This data is entered and managed solely by you.
Service & Booking Data
Details of services you offer, appointments booked, pricing information, and booking statuses.
Payment Information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. Stylisee does not store, see, or have access to your credit card or bank account details. Stripe collects and processes payment information directly in accordance with their own Privacy Policy. We receive only a non-sensitive confirmation of your subscription status from Stripe.
Usage Information
We use session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or analytics trackers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Stylisee platform
- Authenticate your identity and manage your session
- Store and display your business, client, and booking data
- Generate business analytics and reporting for your account
- Enable team member collaboration within your business
- Process subscription payments through Stripe
- Manage your subscription plan
- Communicate service updates or important notices
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or client data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Data Isolation & Security
Stylisee operates on a multi-tenant architecture where each business account's data is completely isolated. Your clients, services, bookings, feedback, and settings are only accessible to you and any team members you explicitly invite.
We implement the following security measures:
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
- Authentication is handled through a secure third-party identity provider — no passwords are stored
- Payment card data is never stored or transmitted through our servers — Stripe handles all card processing under PCI DSS compliance
- Data access is scoped to your business account at the application level
- Team members have role-based permissions (editor or viewer) controlled by the business owner
- All destructive operations (deletions) are restricted to the business owner only
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account, all associated data — including client records, bookings, services, feedback, settings, and team member links — will be permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems within 30 days.
Platform administrators may delete a tenant account upon request, which triggers the same complete data removal process.
6. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles and applicable international privacy law, you have the right to:
- Access — View all personal and business data stored in your account through the platform interface
- Correction — Update or correct any information in your profile, business settings, or client records at any time
- Deletion — Request complete removal of your account and all associated data
- Data Portability — Request a copy of your data in a standard format
- Restrict Processing — Contact us to limit how your data is used
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details provided below. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.
7. Notifiable Data Breaches
We comply with the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to affected individuals, we will notify the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) and affected individuals as soon as practicable. We maintain an internal incident response process to detect, assess, and respond to potential breaches promptly.
8. Cookies & Sessions
We use essential session cookies to maintain your authenticated session. These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function and cannot be opted out of while using the service. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any form of cross-site tracking. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.
9. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Authentication provider — handles secure sign-in and receives only the information necessary to verify your identity
- Stripe, Inc. — processes all subscription payments. Stripe is PCI DSS compliant and does not share raw card data with us. See Stripe's Privacy Policy
- Cloud infrastructure provider — hosts our servers and databases in secure data centres
All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and maintain appropriate security and privacy standards.
10. International Users
